I'm still waiting for the right logger cable to show up for my pda, but I got my uicp w/blowby maft in the mail a couple days ago and am itching to install it. Would it be safe if I installed it and put the base inj to 450cc, and left all the tuning knobs at 0? That should provide the same fuel as the stock maf would, right?

Yes it SHOULD, but it doesn't. Even stock injectors need to have different dial settings. It might be only a click or two... I would just wait until you got the logger cable, and would be able to tune it/look at fuel trims...

You can install it and zero it out, it will be just like a stock MAF.

Of course, then it will be rich, because stock is way rich. It will work fine though.
