I got 2.5" to 3" reducers from forced performance and it is nearly impossible to get them on the gm maf. I've boiled them then put a little silicon oil around the maf and can get it to go over the lip, but can't get it to slide down. anyone have any tips?

The reducers I got from RamChargers were WAY too tight to fit over the 3" MAF. Called them up and they told me that I could send them back for a refund. Ended up buying the GM MAF reducers from RRE. They couldn't have fit better!! :D

Go to www.roadraceengineering.com and buy yourself some nice silicone couplers SPECIFICALLY for the GM MAFT. Yeah, they're 21 bux a pop but well worth it. I've had mine for about 4 months and neither of them have blown off:)

mine were a PITA too, but I just fought the hell out of them, kept lubing it up with some good ole' saliva and eventually got dem' bitches on there...... Then i had to take them off again to cut them a bit to get the MAF to fit in there with my ABS crap. That sucked, but i got it. Mine are camel humps.

I got mine from hosetechniques.com. They were a tight fit, but if you keep working at it you should be ok. It's worth it, I probably don't even need to use clamps on mine.:thumb:

I bought 2.5" -3" for my GM MAF. Fought those hoses and got them on after working on it for what seemed forever, even managed to slip my hand off the hose and punch myself in the nutz in the process. OMG

Buy the RRE if you can afford it, a couple guys here locally had great success with them.
