My 2g MAS is dead. Although I do happen to have a 3 inch GM MAF laying in the garage. Will I be able to run the MAFT on my 95 TSi with stock fuel and turbo? I plan on more modifications to my Talon in the future. I just figured I would start with the MAS since it was a problem that needed corrected. Like I said only if it would work reliably (as reliable as a dsm can get anyway) and safely on my stock items. Thanks guys.

As long as you get the maf-translator gen1 or 2 then yes, You can run maft on a stock car.

Just make sure the injectors are set for 450's. Also maybe get a logger if you don't already have one so you can make sure you are running correctly. You will have to hack into your uicp to fit it though unless you aren't going to run it blowthru.

Yes, I do plan on blow thru and after some of the retarded things I have had to do, hacking the uicp is the least of my worries LOL. I was just wondering as well, how do you adjust your injector sizes? And which wire do you have to splice on the 2.01? Thank you for such a quick reply and help.

I'm not positive on the install, but that should all come with the maft. As well as directions on use and baseic tuning. If not then i'm sure someone on here can help. But once you get it i'm sure it will be pretty self explanitory.

Instructions for setting up the translator is included with each unit. Instructions for tuning the translator can be found here. If you pick up a used translator, instructions are available online here. Wiring should be plug and play, the only difference between a translator for 1G's and 2G's is the connector to the harness.

Thank you guys for everything. I do have one more question. Do you have the use the screen that is on the GM MAF? Thanks.

Yes, leave the screen. It help straighten the air so the MAF will read the air correctly. People do "port" the screen out, but it will flow plently of air for your stockl combination.

There are alot of things you and everyone else needs to know about the MAF-T that I have ne ver heard on this forum but have heard all over the DSMLink forums as to how the MAF-T translates and how inaccurate the signal is.

If you get a MAF-T and do this.. you might as well get DSMLink too because that's really the only way to get it to run 100% like it used to.

Gee imagine that, dsmlink(tm) forums complaining about a competitors product, duh! Theres obviously alot of things the dsmlink forums users dont understand about the dsmlink, like how ancient and outdated the device is. Alot of people on here have been using the maft for years and we happen to like it, if its not your cup of tea then remember the old rule, "if you dont have something nice to say". Trust me, the aem and other stand alone forums laugh thier a$$es off at dsmlink users too.
