MAFT install, BACKFIRE AT 4400?

so do you need to drain the tank you have and fill it up with new gas, or do you have to get a brand new tank? im confused
 
One thing about the MAFT it sure does seem to bring out the other problems with these cars that did not show before. I was really trying to figure this one out. Glad you found the problem let me know if I can help you with the rest of the tune

Mike, i gotta tell you, this modification is AWESOME, it cant be touched, its bullet proof. and it works hella good.

id reccomend it to anyone.

well thats great news that your happy with it, i just order my 3" GM MAF and was beginning to have second thoughts after all the problems you were having. but good shit, im glad you like it so much, i cant wait to get mine going.

do you have pics of your setup?? im wondering if i should do it in blowthrough or pullthrough. i think pull through will probably be more expensive for the budget as this will be my FIRST MOD (besides my pocketlogger, didnt want to mess with the fuel curve blindly) as i figured instead of getting an intake now and redoing it later, why not go big or go home???

i think the blow through mode is only for 1g's i guess. and those pipes go the long way, i would want new short route piping. 2g's with blowthrough??????

also, do you think a noob like me could tune around the probelms caused by venting to atmosphere??? becuase im going to get the HKS SSQV BOV any thoughts?
 
You can run a 2G in blowthrough. All tech support on the MAFT is done through me and I am no longer with Ramchargers. I now have my own company again, Full Throttle Speed & Style. I made my pipes with my brode uicp and a few other things laying around the garage. Not too hard to do. Just look at what you have and decide where you want to go.

If you are running blowthrough, there are no problems associated with venting. I vent (although I never got around to finding a filter to fit the 1g bov so I just have a piece of a shirt zip-tied over the opening :thumb: ).
 
k ill be thinking about blowthrough when i get my IC piping done. but what about now? ill be getting pullthrough, but i want to vent to atmosphere. do you think i , the tuning newbie that i am, will be able to tune around the problems cause by venting with the maft and pocketlogger?
