Maft alternative?

Would it be possible to move the factory airflow meter to somepoint in the intercooler piping after the bov so that you could get your air metered after the bov and not have to spend the money on the maft?

Here's a recent thread on this subject, should answer your question. Basically, besides the issues with Baro and IAT, the Karmen Vortex sensor will not read correctly under pressure.
