I was wondering if anybody around here knows much about the chevy luv pickup. I found one a while back and have been thinking about it ever since. It uses a g180 and g200 isuzu engine(1.8l and 2.0l) and thought it would be cool to put the 4g63, to give me something to do. Since it is a 4 cyl. already, I was thinking it can be that hard. My first question is, how would I go about adapting it together, the transmission is a 4 speed manual and 4wd. the stock engine is around 120hp and is not an option. what would be the better option, to cut the front of the isuzu tranny off and have the dsm bellhousing welded on, or make a plate to bolt to the tranny and block? I have a friend of mine who is a qualified welder and the first option would be the cheaper one for me and sounds like the best. Also, the isuzu bellhousing is pretty small and round in shape. not sure how big of a clutch will fit in there. My second question is, how would I go about adapting the flywheel/clutch assy? If anyone has any experience in a hybrid of this nature, please let me know. THANKS
