ok i have been doing some reaserch i cant find anything. i am going to be relocating my bov so i wont be able to recerculate it. i head that the transulator boxes are junk. is there another way i can use or bypass the stock MAFS?

Try to be more specific on what you mean. Are you keeping the stock maf or going with a gm in blow thru mode. If your staying stock maf it is a smart idea to recirc just get some radiator hose to extend the distance you need. If going gm maf in blow thru you can vent no problem.

If your using stock maf your better off recirculating, the car will more likely stall when the rpm's drop and may have a hard time idling if not recirculated.

If you plan to mod more in the future and have your heart set on venting to the atmosphere now, grab a GM maf and get link, you"ll be set and thank yourself in the run.

so pretty much i dont have to use the black box for the gm maf? what all can i use?

If you have link, ECMtuning sells a cable to tie a GM Maf directly into the stock Maf plug, no more translator

even with the black translator box it should run fine, so long as your not trying to use the translator box to tune. im still running the translator box on my talon, because i have more pressing things to buy then a dsmlink v3 upgrade, but the box stays all zeroed out and any adjustments are made through the dsmlink 2.5.
and honestly, your best bet would be to get a dsmlink/ecmlink v3, and convert the car over to speed density and eliminate the maf all together. or like was said above, the next best thing is to run the v3 link directly to a gm maf in your ic piping right before the bov.
