I used my datalogger to see what CEL my car has. It said "12 MAFS"

The car is mostly stock besides an exhaust and FMIC.

Wondering if this means the plug or the sensor itself? When I got the car, the plug's wiring was cut...so I got a used plug and 1g stock maf sensor off a junked car. I did a quick color with color hookup on the wires. I was originally thinking that the sensor I got from the junk yard was off a NT but after checking it, I believe its Turbo.

Is my only choice to buy another working stock turbo 1g maf sensor?

Here is a picture of the wiring.

First i would solder and heatshrink those wires, then see what code you get.
And make sure each wire goes to the correct one i see they look mix matched.

They are soldered under the tape.
I get code 12...which is for the MAF sensor.
Im just trying to see if that code is due to a bad sensor before I go out and buy one or if there is anything else that can throw a code 12 CEL.

Cant really tell maybe its my eyesight or the twisting of the wires, not really clear some have lines , and red dashes i did this before when i wired my maf im thinking get another maf ebay, or classifieds.

Blue to blue
Orange to Orange
Black to black
White to white
Red to red
Yellow to yellow
Solid red to solid red (power)

I don't think its the wiring that's giving me the CEL, I think its the sensor itself just want to know if there is something in the sensor that usually goes wrong or can I use some cnc maf sensor cleaner on it?

different maf sensor installed, still same problem. need another reason why my car gives me a CEL 12 MAFS.

So I decided to check the ECU numbers and I have ECU # MD128623 (E2T34473)...I checked out Eclipse Talon Laser Galant 3000GT Stealth ECU ID Reference , and it says my ECU is for a 1g turbo fwd...I have a 90 awd. Would this be my issue or can I still use this ECU?
