I bought a front mount (which is an '89 conquest tsi stock intercooler that im modifying at work to make it fit) and intercooler piping and a blow off valve and the only thing holding me back from putting it all on is a friend of mine said i might need a MAF translator and/or MAP sensor for it to run right... any suggestions?

your maf has nothing to do with your intercooler, if all your doing is putting a front mount ic on you do not need it

I would HIGHLY recommend looking into a different Intercooler. From what I have researched the Conquest/Starion intercoolers are junk. I was considering using the intercooler in question, but changed my mind after a little research.

yes they are really junk, the stock smic is a lot better! and the starion ic is a lot of fitting to get in place correctly

and if you're not planning to vent your bov, you dont need maft

From personal experience the Starquest intercoolers are definitely not junk. Granted there are many better intercoolers out there. but they are definitely not junk.

But it seems more trouble than its wort to put a SQ intercooler on a dsm
