I'm sorry if this question has been asked over and over, but I can't seem to find the answer we need.

We bought the After Market MAF and the replacement sensor. We where told we can place this sensor in between the turbo and the air filter, so thats where we put it.

But then some people have told us we have to have it in between the Throttle Body and the BOV. I would like to know where the right place is, if it matters. My one friend is running an 11 sec DSM and he has his sensor where we have ours, and hes been running it like that for years.

The reason for moving the GM MAF in front of the BOV and behind the throttle body is so you can vent into the atmosphere with out recirculating and with out any of the negative side effects as with the OEM MAF not being recirculated. You can have it place before the turbo and it will run perfectly fine as long as your BOV is recirculating (which it is not in the picture), if your BOV is not recirculated then every time your BOV releases it is dumping measured air into the atmosphere and you car will run rich and bog. If the GM MAF is between the BOV and throttle body then you can dump into the atmosphere and not recirculate the air because it has not been measured yet. I suggest that you place it between the BOV and throttle body so you can vent, which only makes your car sound better, and because if you have a boost leak before the sensor then it does not effect your car as much as one after the sensor.

Ok thanks for the help. Im glad someone FINALLY gave me a straight answer.

*EDIT*

Also when we where working on the car we unplugged the ECU to check if it was CHIPED, when we went to plug it back in we noticed how crappy of a job the old owner did wiring the Turbo timer wire. So we unwired it and reran the wire a better way behind the dash. Then we rewired the timer back up to the same wire the old owner had it ran to. And how all the timer does is blink. We cant set it or anything. Does anyone no what we screwed up?
