i need the MAF translator and i was wondeirng if it was REQUIRED to have the aftermarket 3'' MAS to run the system. Because all i want to do is set the translator to "blow through" mode so i can vent my BOV. Im kinda strapped for cash and was hoping i could put the MAS on later, but i hust need to know if its REQUIRED when i hook up the MAF. thanks

Yes you do need the 3" MAF to do the blowthru, all that the tranlator does is take the signal sent from the GM MAF and in GM language to DSM language so that your ecu can understand it.

ok, thanks for the help. just wanted to make sure. I Realize silcone couplers are needed with this upgrade, do i need 1 or 2?

You will need 2 of the couplers, one for each side of the 3" GM MAF. Hope it helps, Good Luck with the setup :thumb:

thanks for all the help guys. i didnt think a simple BOV upgrade would end up costing this much. as long as im able to vent im happy :D
