maf question?

Will a 1992 awd turbo talon 5speed 1g maf work on a 1990 awd talon turbo 5 speed?

It depends, if it's a 1992.5 it won't cause they are 7 bolt if not it will fit just fine.

If it's a 1g Maf from another turbo car, it will work. The only differences are between 1g and 2g.

Since when does your maf have anything to do with what bottom end is in your car? 1g maf is a 1g maf.

Late model 1g's do have a 7-bolt bottom end. But the rest of the motor stays the same as other 1g's. Late model 1g's arent toting the exact engine and setup and 2g's.

Oh ok thanks, I learned something new today! Sorry for the miss post, I was under the impression that it had the same motor and setup as the 2g cars. So yes the 1992 maf will work on the 1990.

A MAS is an airflow sensor, it is electrical, not mechanical so I don't consider it a part of the "motor" itself.

90 Turbo Mas will work on the 92 turbo vehicle. Don't forget the free mods.

1G N/Ts have different plugs/pinouts (FYI)

95-99 Mas Flows more than the 1G Mas and doesn't bolt in.
