maf is missing on car

ok guys so i just bought my car a 99 2.4 eclipse and someone decided they were going to cut off the maf senor for the intake they put on. i want to put a new one on well a used one i know the one i need is 055.. but i have seen a lot with part number 609 now does it really matter witch one i get ?### help

Did they remove it for a reason? Speed density or a gm maf? Got a picture?

they thought it would look cool with a plastic chrome intake i guess but no there is not speed density or thing like that just cut wires where there should be a maf sensor
