Ok I read threads, but they only answer for a swap the opposite way. I have an auto trans and may need to change t-cases. So the manual has 5 bolts and the auto has 6 bolts, and I know you can bolt up a auto to a manual and just forget the 6th bolt. But can I take a manual with the 5 holes and use it on my auto with 6, would that one bolt make a diffrence.

just as a back up, I think it would be harder to find a Auto AWD than a stick

Look at the bolt spacing on the top. The 5th hole is higher on the auto case.

I read that the spline count is year specific, not auto/maual. So it pretty much is that you can use a auto on a M/T but not a M/T on a auto
