question

I'm pulling a 1g a/t transfer case

i just pried the tcase away from the trans - and i noticed the output shaft is coming along with it

is this normal? any remedys if that shaft is not supposed to come with the tcase?

alright - well no biggie then

looks like the block comes out tonight

thanks

well the output shaft would not clear before the Tcase hit the oil pan

so i unbolted the front carrier bearing to allow me to pull teh driveshaft from the tcase

now i have 1 bolt and a jack holding the motor in teh car

im kinda glad i am pulling the motor - cause if i was just doing a clutch job i wuold be pissed off

someone clued me in that there is a little ball that holds that output shaft into the trans - and that it may be missing

i will find out later when i take the torch to the damn thing
