lucas oil stablizer...the real deal...

I want to know if it really makes a difference with keeping the oil pressure stable and...just anyone who uses it let me know what all it does for you. Will it hard amything?

Well, I can't say for certain, but my uncle? tried a little experiment with a pre-oiler (found in tractors and heavy equipment and stuff) on his 77? VW Rabbit. It runs for 30 seconds and pre lubricates the engine before you crank it over. He sold the car with 510,000 miles on it original engine AND trans (from 10 years prior and 200K when he modded it), and last I saw it was still on the road. Hard to miss when a half blue half brown Golf passes you.

So, considering that my brother has an 01' Gas Passat with 73K miles and bad rings now, I'd say that that statement of wear on start up has credibility in my eyes.

And, just a tidbit or food for thought, "Where did that Castrol Start up protection oil go?" I swear it was only for sale for like 8 months, and then it magically disappeared. I think someone up high had some strings pulled because that oil was gone before i had a chance to test it. Like, nowhere to be found, not even at wholesalers anymore. It was obliterated, not like bad selling oil where it's randomly left at obsolete stores. Just my .02$

I used it on my 1st gen and it worked great so I say you have to try it yourself. i dont think anyone here has personaly had a problem with it they just read too much..
