I've been doing a lot of product testing on my dyno (cams, turbo's ect.) and I'll like to check this thing out. Care to have me do a before/after test keeping everything else the same (even tuning to keep A/F the same). I have shop cars with 16g's or T3/T4's available.

Had a nice talk with Martin today. He seems to have some things figured out and it turns out we have some common friends. We will be supplying him with a unit to test soon

that is awesome news mike!
some dyno numbers and AMS reviews will be the answers many people are looking for.

Mike: I've got the video ripped, and will have the pictures later tonight. Do you have anywhere to host the video? I'll post the pics here, so they'll be available to view.

p.s. shoot me an email when you get a chance, I know you've been busy lately! ;)

If anyone buys either the translator or 3" MAF and decides they'd rather not go through with it, email me at pettipasAThotmailDOTcom and you can make some of your money back :D

Is there enough tunability to run 720cc injectors with this with no AFC?

It will run 720cc..

I can't wait to see dyno numbers...

The thread on 'talk suggests they'll have the connectors in in a few days; supply being what it is, I'd give them at least a week before they're ready to box the units and send them out.

Having had some involvement with the sort of manufacturing that Bailey are doing with these units, I do ask people to be a bit patient and understanding. The sort of timeframe these guys have been delivering on has been pretty impressive, even given that the basic unit has been in production for some time; I really feel for the guys as they're swamped with all the enthusiastic customer mail...

I know for a fact that sourcing connectors for old automotive equipment can be a remarkably irritating thing to do, especially if you only want a few hundred at a time. Just to start with, you have to work out who made the damn thing in the first place...

(of course, I'm champing at the bit waiting for my own MAFT to show up...)

3/S guys are buying them too, so they have to make them for 3 different cars too ( plus the other GN ones too ).

Mine Came Yesterday :)

read through the instructions and I can't wait to try her out, Just have to finish up my FMIC pipes and get it back up and running (maybe today).

Well please keep us posted, i was getting ready to buy a SAFCII but if this would do for right now, i will get this first. This sounds really cool, but want to know the results, how it idles, part throttle, and WOT.

Bob and I just put the connectors on the 2G units so we now have 2G / 3S "plug and play" units in stock. Backorders will beshipped tomorrow. This is part number 5183STRANS and yes that works on the 4G63 2G cars too.

There has been some debate about using this in a blow through set-up. As I see it, the sensor would read exactly what is going into the motor instead of reading the air before it goes through the turbo and intercooler, therefore it would be more accurate. Venting the BOV is a nice side effect. Are there any negative effects to the blow through set-up? i already know how I would mount it so no problem there. Just want to take everything into consideration before I install it.

"Backorders will be shipped tomorrow"
Woohoo, cant wait. I ordered mine a few weeks ago.I plan on doing a back to back Data log and 1/4 mile for everyone ( after I get it in and tune of course). :thumb:

well if you are going to use it in the stock location then yes.
but if you want to vent and use blow through, then no, you mus thave an UICP of atleast 2.5" with 2.5"to 3" reducers for the maf.

you *could* use 2.25" stock piping, but that is really dumb imho.

I have asked this on all 3 boards I am reading about this on over the last couple weeks and I havent seen it answered anywhere. If it was already, please forgive me. If I want to run up to 30 psi, will the MAF be ok with that? I understand that it should still read just fine. I'm more concerned with the MAF itself. Is it capable of staying together at high boost? I meant to search the GN forums for this answer too, but havent had the time. Thanks.
