A GM MAF will laugh at a 30psi DSM. My friend ran one on his 30PSI GN with a T-66.

Not will it only laugh at that kinda boost, it will stay accurate, some 3/S guys have said the 2G/3/S MAF is only accurate till 400CHP.

GM finally did something right !!! kill the GN and Syclone b/c they were faster than the vette was stupid of GM, but at least we can use the stupid vettes MAF, and it kicks ass !!

IMO there is very little advantage to a blow through setup for 99% of the guys. The sensor will take the boost

I promise, I'll take my room-mate's memory card to Bestbuy, and rip them with a sony computer (stupid memory stick).

I apologise for not having them earlier, but we seriously installed the sony software on 4 PC's in our house, and have been trying to download them since. =(

Bob/Mike, PM me. ;)

Does anyone have any ideas yet on how YOU are gonna do the piping yet? I really want this thing, but i don't have a ton of time to figure out the setup. Mayby some pics...or anybody's personal views would be cool...you can PM me with your ideas.

man oh man someone get us some feedback over here. I want to know how this thing is working and i want to see some pics of the install. I really dont car for the blowthough design, just the regular install. The noisy BOV isnt that important for me. I would rather not deal with anymore issues than necessary, and tuning with the BOV vented to the atmosphere seems like more tuning and possible driveability issues. I guess we wont know until someone does it. But either way i just want to see how it is working on the standard setup. SO PLEASE someone get us some feedback and how it is working. Laters.

Get one of the USB memory stick readers; the stick just shows up like another disk.

Or for that matter, just plug the camera in with the USB cable it came with, you should get the same results.

If it doesn't work on a PC, find a Mac running MacOS X.

Here's the pics of the 3" MAF+Translator installed in my 92 GSX. Better late than never!

Aftermarket MAS system can't get any more stock appearing than this! Well, it could, but not this easily!!

Quite a tidy install eh'? Not too shabby for about 10-15 minutes of install work, including removing/reattaching the UIC pipe!

This pic shows the only wire you have to tap (for the RPM signal), the rest is plug and play. This wire we tapped with a vampire tap, took approx. 20 seconds to plug it in and go.

Video is uploading to the FTP server I was provided by BoostinAWD, one of our members here. As soon as he gets it hosted, a link will be posted.

This video is nice, it shows the internals of the Translator box, 2 driveby's with the MAS in STOCK LOCATION, and a comparison video, clearly demonstrating the size/flow differences between the 1gmas/3" MAS/3.5" MAS.

Why did I put "stock location" in all CAPS? Because you won't believe it's not blow-thru when you hear that turbo spool, and the BOV dump back into the intake, yes, the STOCK rubber intake tube, that kills sound. Also notice the lack of any off-throttle stumble, as a hacked MAS would have. This thing is the BOMB! :thumb:

Like I said guys, I apologise for the wait, but it's worth it! The video should be up soon, I'm PM'ing him now. ;)

Thanks for the replies guys. Thats what I was looking for. Like I said in countless other unread posts :p blow through is the only way to correctly run a Tial BOV without going to MAP. I'm tired of BOVs that leak at over 25 psi, even a little. So blowthrough is good news for me ;)

I Was neer able to find a 2.5" anything in plumbing parts. But because the PVC/ABS tubing is so damn think, a 2" will easily stretch over a 2.5" The 3" will have to squash down to 3" metal tubing quite a bit. This will be prefectly fine for preturbo, but not for blow through. For one the 3" part that is squashed down will likely blow off, and 2 the rubber couplers HD sells cant take the heat of post turbo air. But they do work beautifully for intake pipes :)

anyone know a cheap place to get 3"-2.5" silicon connectors?

try your local trucking parts store. they usually carry a lot of couplers.
