low settings tuning on 2g

Can any one help me on tuning my low settings for 97 gsx. i Know how to tune the high settings going by the timing, but i dont know how to set my low settings. im using the digimoto for a logger and afc2. any help would be appreciated thanks
 
Log stft and ltft. The goal is to get ltft to 0%. If it is reading says +5%, then the ecu is adding 5% more fuel, so the safc needs to be richen up 3-5%. If the ecu says -5%, then the ecu is removing 5% of the fuel, so the safc can be leaned out 3-5%. The ltft value will change at idle, and as you clim through the rpm range.

What injectors do you have? It's not in your mod list.
 
oh i have the 550s. so do i use the digimoto or the afc to tune or both

You use the logger to read stft and ltft from the ecu, then you adjust the safc by leaning things or richening things. This will in turn change the fuel trims again, then look at the logger and see if they are getting closer to 0%.

You should find kpt4321's tuning guide and read up on low safc settings and high safc settings.
 
he's reading his timing of the logger. i've tried going by the stft/ltft and it somewhat works. the problem i've had with it is i will leave the car in neutral, rev it up to 1k and hold it, get my fuel trims to 0 and then do the same for 2k,3k,4k, ect... go drive it and everything changes (it goes rich). i'll do it again and get them back to 0 but get the same thing. everything goes on the rich side as soon as i start driving again. i can sit on the highway at 4k and get the fuel trims to 0. then when i go to park it and hold it at 4k in neutral i'm lean. WTF.

Because if you're going by the S-AFC2, it's not accurate.

WOW I think I was on crack when I posted this, I thought he meant knock, not timing...stupid moment for me...

Revving the car in neutral is not nearly as accurate as driving the car. The neutral thing is just to get baseline settings before you drive around.

Just use the settings that work for a moving car.
