Low compression on 2 cylinders

They're random metal shavings from sittin in the garage. the gouges just happened yesterday when I had a friend move the head and he threw it on the dirty table,I wanna make sure it's not gonna be a problem before I throw it back together

Dunno man tough call. Those ones are super close to the combustion ring seal in the headgasket.

Update since I can't figure out how to make a new thread everything is together but I need a new starter. Car is a 2g 5 spd with a 6 bolt block,what starter should I be looking for? I was told any 5 spd starter will work but I'd like to verify that before I buy one

I swapped in a new start into my 7-bolt not to long before she died. Put that same starter in my 6-bolt and worked fine. I don't think there is any difference between them that limits it to a 1G or whatever.

Sweet. That's the answer I was looking for. Autozone says the part number is the same on all 5 spds
