LOW compression, Head Gasket or Rings, how to tell?

I did a compression test on the 2g today, these are the results.

1. 115
2. 85
3. 85
4. 90

other symptoms:

coolant gets pressurized and spews out overflow a slight amount, and smells like exhaust fumes.

high level of blowby.

i want to know if its a warped head, blown HG, or just the rings all dicked up.

the engine was completley rebuilt in august, so how could it get messed so fast?

the paper says, "car needs aftermarket fuel pump", but it was intalled later on. is it possible the motor was ran to lean, and warped the head? burned up the rings, or blew the HG?

any ideas would help.
 
it actually runs decent.
i have the boost set at 12, and its completly untuned, i setup the afc2 on the way home, by just setting it to where it feels good, to me, LOL.

it feels like my 1g felt with the s16g at 18psi

i fear when it was rebuilt in august, it wasnt given time to be broken in and it was burned up.

perhaps it can just need a HG and a ring job.

or i may get a rebuilt kit and have terrible do it for me, LOL.

still want that shell?
 
You could always do the oil test. Put a little oil into the cylinder and run the compression test again. If compression improves substantially, it is rings, if not, headgasket or valve seats etc.

thats the "wet" test right?
im going to do that tommarow.

its hard to imagine WHAT the problem could be, the engine was Completly rebuilt in august of this year, what could be messed up that fast?

i talked to the guy who had the motor rebuilt, he is the mod 98redgs on this site. so i trust what he says.,

he said the motor was never boosted past stock boost, never overheated, never raced, ect.

he said that one day, the 02 voltage read 0, and it started running like ass.
new 02 sensor, no change.

and now we have thise problems, either theres something hes not telling me, or someting he doesnt know, or i dont know what.
 
could there have been a ERROR in the buildup?
i am about to just trashit and rebuilt or or replace it.

but i would hate to rebuilt the whole things, when all it would need is a headjob or rings.
 
My compression is the same only it goes from #4 - #1....120,95,90,85...i've had some reputable sources tell me it is probably a headgasket and at worse a warped head...all started after my engine overheated
