So if you recall my Shep transmission thread I could not figure out why the trans was shifting funny.
I adjusted the clutch pedal. The whole time while moving it, the pedal engagement only moved about an inch in the pedal and I screwed the rod all the way in and out. So far that it fell out and I had to replace it.
I changed the fluid to redline trans fluid. Very thick so I mixed it with some bg syncroshift II
The car has a short shifter and I believed that was causing my shifting problems.
Well 2 days ago when taking my g/f to school the clutch engagement point changed. It used to engage right off the floor. Now it engages towards the top, almost the very top. It's scary. It changed while driving, I heard a clanking sound like something was caught on something then broke off.
Ever since then the clutch engagement changed to the top and now the transmission shifts like butter. Its so crisp. It's unbelievable. It shifted find before but was hard to get into gear and would not go into reverse. Now it has yet to grind reverse and shifts so good. I can throw it in 1st at 25 mph and it will slide right in.
I have checked for leaks at the master, slave, all clutch line fittings and all were dry and clean. The clutch fork is in the middle and facing the drivers side.
The car launches fine still.
I checked for anything broken in the engine bay and after about 10 minutes I could not find a single thing. I checked the shifter linkage and all is normal.
Any ideas.
This is probably the most far fetched thing anyone has ever seen. Which is why I did not post right away, I am waiting for it to break.

. So I need to adjust the upper pedal stop adjuster?
