loud knocking/ticking gets louder and faster with more throttle

I dont want to be the bringer of bad news.. but a few months ago my car started to do that... turned out to be rod knock... dont give up though, compression and leakdown tests are a first,and you go from there

Maybe take a video so we can hear what it sounds like? Very hard to tell you what it could be without hearing it for ourselves. Could be bad lifter tick could be rod knock lots of stuff it could be

Yea, that's rod knock to the worse degree.

spun bearing right? it happend while driving the car was low on oil.... lets say theres a drivetrain warrnty will that be coverd?... or would they just claim it tottaled?

Thing sounds like the prize wheel on the Price is right. You might get lucky and find a replacement motor for cheap.

That sounds so familer i heard that sound yesterday on a buddys car. For sure rod knock.I hope you find another motor are at least another dsm

Definitely rod knock , I'd guess spun rod bearing you could tear motor down have crank machined or buy new crank or new motor bit either way hope you get it fixed best of luck.

You will need at least a crank. Rod. And all bearings. It can be done under 300

While its being rebuilt I recommend new front and rear seals. They're only 10 to 15 a piece

It all depends on how bad your crank is after you pull it out and determine if you need a new one or just get it machined. I just spun a rod bearing on my number one cylinder and had to replace my pistons because the number one seized up and the rod had too much damage. It was cheaper to go after market instead of brand new OEM. It cost me a little over a grand for everything including machine work for the block and crank. I had to have .010 over rod bearings and for some reason .020 over for the mains

get a used shortblock, new bearings, seals all of that. if your top end is good then you can re use that
