OK,

Long story short, I was at a friends house and changed my shocks/struts on my 92GSX. When it was all said and done and left, I got into 2nd went to build boost and did not go anywhere, 1st thought was oh shit clutch is not working, then I went to stop and I had VERY little brakes. Went back to his house, parked the car put it in gear and then I started to roll, while IN GEAR...WTF would cause all this

1.clutch slips, bleed it still sucks
2.brakes are shitty now
3.car rolls while in gear with engine off

I did some reading and I know they are 2 seperate systems...asked some folks I know and got some answers...best one so far was, I kinked a brake line or something to that effect, leaked brake fluid onto the clutch so on and so forth...He told me to chase the brake lines and look at those, and be prepared to replace my clutch and flywheel?

Ideas...

Quit trying to drive it and check your work.

I'd guess one of your axles is not installed properly. This will make it seem as though the clutch is slipping, the brakes you probably tore a line or something

HMMM axels...did not come out to replace struts/shocks, or did I miss a step some where? The car was fine before I put it on jack stands to replace the struts...If I tore a line would I not have fluid on the car, the ground or low fluid...none of the above

Anyone else with some good advice please.

Could be your brake booster. Have you checked it out. I don't know about the clutch. You could try to adjust it. Maybe the lock nut got loose and made a change in adjustment.

Alright - so you have brake fluid and it's not leaking from the clutch master or slave or brake booster or any of the lines right?

OK - Now check for vacuum/boost leaks. That could cause you not to have any POWER brakes. Remember the master cylinders can leak ON THE INSIDE of the car, which most forget. Check your clutch ajustment on the inside of the car to see if that helps.

Does the car roll in while in gear in EVERY gear or just 1st?

I decided I was going to work the brake issue, topped off the fluid, bleed the lines, and then I get confused. I sat there in the drive way, pumped the shit out of the brakes with the engine on and off, fluid never went down nor did any end up on the ground....but I still have very soft brakes.

The car rolls in all the gears, with the taller gears obvisiouly easier to roll in.

Where at inside the car should I be looking for fluid? Appears a boost leak check is coming as well...Never adjusted the clutch from inside so I will do some reading on that and try to do that as well. Does that have something to do with the clutches ability to engage and release fully?

There is some fluid all over the bottom of the car but I can not tell from when or where it got on there so I sprayed the bottom of the car with cleaner so hopefully I will be able to see something leaking better.

Thanks!

Funny how I go to replace shocks and struts and now I can not go or stop very well...

Is there a way to check the brae booster without throwing parts at it?

If you attempt to bleed the brakes and nothing comes out the nipple, you either have a leak somewhere, the line is clogged or kinked, or there is a lot of air in the line. Did you bleed them correctly?

Look for fluid inside the driver's footwell near where the clutch pedal to master cylinder rod passes through the firewall. If you find an excessive amount of wetness on the carpet, rebuild or replace your master cylinder.

The clutch pedal adjustment is done by turning the master cylinder rod on the back either into or out of the master cylinder, and adjusting the upper stop for the pedal. Remember to adjust the upper stop to leave some free play above where the pedal starts to feel resistance.

-The relief valve on 2Gs only rids excess pressure (preventing clutch pump-up) when the master cylinder rod is allowed to uncover the valve, and that only happens when the rod is fully extended out of the master cylinder, I am not sure if 1Gs had this system or not.
