I recently swapped a 14b onto my car. In first gear I get a bit of spike and it settles back down but from 3rd gear on it boosts to about 1.1bar than quickly settles back down to
.5bar. Help me out, already tested for boost leaks :beatentodeath:

I boost the the 14b to 1.1bar in first and second, third gear on up it goes up to 1.1bar but quickly falls off to .5bar. I didn't have this problem on the T25 I had on there before.

1. What was the results of your boost leak test? Max psi on boost gauge and hold time. Was the test done after the turbo install?

2. Have you check the turbo for free spin and shaftplay?

3. Have you check for exhaust leaks befor turbo?

4. Is your HKS recirculated? Which MBC and is it plumbed into the BOV line?

5. Do you know your supporting mods are way overkilled for the 14b? :p

I held 20psi for approx. 40secs and I tested after turbo install. I checked the turbo for shafter play before install it was ok, I can check shaftplay again. How do I check for exhaust leaks pre turbo? I used to have a turbo bolt that like to pop out of the manifold but I already checked that.
I am recirculating my BOV even though I miss the sound  I'm using the Joe P Inline boost controller and it is tapped off the J-pipe for a boost source, not plumbed into the BOV line. Ya I know my supporting mods are overkill for a 14b, just need to fab up a dumptube than im putting the gt3076r on.
