looking to buy some slicks for the front of my eclipse

I am looking to buy some slicks for the front of my Eclipse. Right now I have street tires on it and it spins like it is its job. Right now i am around 400whp and I built the car for roll racing when I do a 60 roll it breaks them loose at 70mph, so I would like some slicks I can bolt on. If any one knows what would be a good size tire to run let me know. Thanks!

If you buy slicks your drivetrain will take a lot more beating. You will break stuff if your not careful. If I can make a suggestion and go with a High performance tire vs just slicks.

yes i was thinking the same thing. that half the reason why i do a roll race at 55 or 60mph. it just sucks because all the car does is spin.

I got some hoosier QTPs 26x9.5x16. They are like a slick but are street legal. I wouldnt recommend daily driving on them but they hook from a 40 roll with me making over 500whp. They also fit on a stock 16in wheel.

What tires exactly do you have now. Theres a big range in the performance of "street tires".

Odds are, he's breaking only one front loose and just needs a 1.5-way front diff.

An LSD would really help you out if you don't have one the obx is the best way to go for the 420a. There about the same price as a good set of slicks and you have it all the time.

What kind of fuel system are you running? Profile says a SAFC and I think I see a FMU in the engine bay??

Downsize from 18s with 40 series rubber, too.

All it takes is 200hp to lite one of those up. (see also: needs insert or LSD)

I didn't see that he was on 18s. There's only one excuse for that: you have brakes the size of those on an Evo X.
