Yeah i just bought a 91 awd tsi i stripped and am hoarding the psrts. Dont know when ill awd swap it but im sure i will. Ill hang onto this 3 bolt snd subframe but im still considering solid axle for weight savings. Something real wimpy. Id like to have under 2300 lbs street car

Nice, awd still the way to go. You shouldn't have to much trouble putting that little colt on a diet, dont see why 2300lbs wouldnt be attainable.
I think my 7 bolt just crank walked on me and took out the rear main.......im freakn pissed. Might be dumping mine out back and walking away for a good while.

WTF Troy?!? you have the worst luck man!

Brandon, what happened to your old colt? Took the battery and left it roadside ;)

Anybody going to test or tune or the upcoming street legals?

I do have very very bad luck yes, but I think I was in panic mode the other day....my rear main seal might actually be fine ( I do have crank play tho I know that from when I first got my motor I checked the side play and it was barely in spec), tore off all my intake, tray etc and found oil running down from the CAS area all the way down the head and going along the tranny bell housing. It would get wet around the corners of the block first every time I ran it up after a cleaning. It was just throwing me right off, I couldn't make sense of it but now I think I'm getting some where.:ohdamn: :thumb:
the flywheel must have been picking up some of the oil and flinging it all around inside the bell housing, I just don't get how so much oil could be making it down that far and dripping so heavily mind you I guess engine oil does get thinner the hotter it gets.
Have another few little oil leaks to fix as well......this oil pan gaskets getting to be annoying as shit

I might have to buy it all just cause its so cheap. LOL

Oh mike you know that white 90 awd that was in Affiliated's yard?
The engine was more then likely mint on it, I checked the ECU to see if it was a eprom and found it had a few really burnt up caps.
shame I didn't get to grab that engine LOL.

You could always get ECM tuning to fix it for a couple hundred.

haha for having a 7 bolt! j/k

my first AWD dsm was bought non running, six years it sat and no matter how many times I kept fixing it something else fixing after that. That's when I dropped that one and bought my Eclipse. paid quite a bit for a 1g but it's been well worth it. :)

Lol believe me 7 bolt wasn't my first choice by no means, its sat for 7 years. I just hope I'm one of the lucky few that gets one to hold together for awhile, it did have a brand new oil pump and timing components so I do believe it was in very good health when parked. 5 months from now I should have a fully forged 6 bolt waiting to be swapped in when this one gives out....if it hasn't already. Still have to do a compression test on it, found my CAS bolts were loose some how. Going to be taking it back out tonight for a test run after supper.

Oh hey did you get your clutch tool back? I mailed it like 2 weeks ago.......sorry once again for having it so long I'm terrible when it comes to procrastination. :coy:
Oh and if you (or any local guys) looking for a good exterior or interior detail I work with a guy that can make your car look like its brand new almost for $100 (per exterior or interior job). Does great work (currently has my supra's seats)

I believe he sold it, I know he had it up for a good while. I'm sure he'll fill us in on the dirty details.
I cant wait so see how this one turns out, its in better shape by the looks of it, ever need a hand Brandon let me know!

well at least that's easy! LOL

Yup I got it, thanks. no worries about time.

What would he charge to redo leather seats like the ones in my VR-4? They're pretty bad, mainly the drivers seat.

Well I took her out for a boot.....pissing oil again! So I guess the CAS wasnt the only thing....stupid 7 bolt. Might be parking it after all, going to have to go through with pulling the tran after all.
He's charging my $50 to do the back seats/arm cards for my supra remove stains etc, he doesnt reapolster stuff just treats/cleans etc. I'll ask him when I go to pick mine up in a few days.

Only engine oil coming out of that end of the engine would be from the CAS, valve cover (particularly half moon seal), and turbo oil feed if still there.

The CAS is good now, no more leaks from the head anymore. None of my turbo lines are leaking either, all have new seals. But once again oils running along the outside of the bell housing....maybe I bought a tran with a cracked housing? Found theres no oil leak till I have it in gear and let her go. Yet my previous failed output shaft seal isnt leaking....such a freakn pain.:banghead:

So is it trans oil or engine oil? figuring that out will tell you completely.

Well this time there should only be one or the other since I don't have a leaking head no more LOL
A smell should be enough to tell me really.

Order some parts from ziggy the other day and UPS some how looses the package while delivering it??
They came to my house weekly for awhile and seem to have forgotten how to open a gate..... and find a door 8 feet past said gate.WTF

UPS has been the absolute worst for that lately. At my Condo they claim to make delivery attempts, but a truck never even pulls into the parking lot. I've called and really tore into someone about this twice already...

Wow that's annoying, I think thats the exact same thing they did to me. This is the first time I've ever had a problem with UPS (other then their outragous rates), I got home today and there's the package sitting on my fence.......guess I didn't need to waste more money ordering another set of the same thing some Ziggy today.:banghead:
But I thought for sure they lost it and it'd be months before I seen a refund.

Ups has sucked for me big time since moving to canada. Fedex has been good usps/canada post and purolator have been best for me. Ups always fuqs you with outrageous brojerage fees you never see coming in ADDITION to duty and tax

Ya UPS is by far my lest favorite as far as service. I find Fedex to be the best bargain as per price vs service. RTMracing just gets a deal through UPS so shipping costs get cut virtually in half.

Up and running! Lowered, real rims, and switched over to DSMLink! Next up is Meth injection, with the new NHRA rule, I should be able to add a meth tank to the old SMIC spot and rip it. Just need to figure out a good way to fill it if I put it there...

Buhay6 I got a 6 bolt for you! pimpy rider I have A galant vr4 trans and transfercase along with two front axles! Still have a built 1g trans and a big16g setup and e316g setup both complete bolt on!!!

Finally got my 97 out after 2 years of storage. looking for fuel senders....o and Hi!
