the weather network says rain for friday and saturday:(

Garret how is your car coming along? And Scott what happened to your car? I've seen it sitting on tuesdale for the last couple of days

I dont have a spare one anywhere.

I went out to saskatoon last friday and saturday and had a blast! I convinced 2 friends to come up with me who never raced. I got out friday, but it was raining a bit in just small sections, but cars were still running when I got there. So i passed tech and went to the seats to watch a couple nice looking bikes run before I went out, and Just my luck it started raining and they stopped the racing. I got my money back for the night as I was coming back the following day.

On saturday I woke up a bit later than I had planned and got to SIR at around 1130, I didn't enter the fastest street car challenge, just the test and tune. I am actually pretty happy I was in the test and tune, because I got to watch Dean run his car a few times. My first run I was pretty nervous and ran a 14.6@96mph with at 2.2 60foot time. I knew I had a lot of room to grow from there. My second run was 14.2@96mph with a 1.92 60' time, and third was 14.2@96mph with a lot better shifting and a crappy 2.04 60' time.

Tomorrow I will get my 255lph hp fuel pump and fuelab afpr, so im hoping with some good driving I will break into the 13's and break 100mph.

Watching Dean run was really exciting too. He won the sport compact part of the fastest street car challenge!

I have some pic's too that I will post up when I get a chance

LOL anyone know whose got the 2gb red with the black/primered hood????? pulled him over at tim hortons north albert tonight and he's going on about how the car is awd and has a "1g motor turbo" in it. anyone know him?

LOOks like i converted to dsm. from a s13

got me a evo II with evo3 kit
4g63 engine and already having some issues :(

names jordan by the way for who dont know me

Well wanted to say hello to the Regina guys not been too active in the dsm area for last while but will be more so again. I have 97 talon 5speed awd tsi 2.4 fully built with fp3065 and all the goodies to go with it.
It went down on me year or so back, pretty sure blew the hd 4000 clutch apart doing some test and tune at 25psi. Or could possibly be spun bearing but really think its clutch from the symptoms.I have several other projects to play with so the 97 got parked and will get to it likely this winter. Its street car not race car.
It will see the track likely only after get axles and new trans.Or may convert it to auto.

I am also doing up a 91 talon auto awd turbo for track only use. Its a bit ghetto bodywise but was cheap cheap. And it can't be sask plated ever. Its been stripped down exensively removed air, abs, cruise, most of interior except for one seat, dash and center console. Running 3 inch downpipe no catback. No sway bars ,no bumpers well very light aluminum front bumper. No wipers not sure about horns and headlights. Later on possibly go to race seat,cf or fiberglass hood and hatch maybe lighter windows. Need to put in rollbar so car is legal to 10.0.Not interested in going under that.

Hoping to run the car with stock 13g,k and n and the downpipe with no cat on 20th or 27 sept.
Not expecting much just doing it for fun.
Over winter should have fp3065 swapped over from my 97. Thinking to go down to fp3052 on that car and move my race jm fab intake to the 91 race car ,get street jm fab intake on the 97. Already have supra tt pump on the 91 and adjustable reg. Going to jm fab fuel tank.Have dsmlink in the 91. Crower 280s are already bought for it. Need springs, valves, etc will do head nothing fancy though unless find smoking deal on used one. Engine sticking with 2.0 ,good rods and pistons . Will get high stall converter, shift kit and weld center diff. Hoping to get 4 bolt rear but think it has to be off auto car from 92.5 on. If you have one let me know.

I have lots of parts around for sale. I have a 91 fwd turbo loaded for sale with rebuilt engine and 14b swap. Car needs a tranny though. Its auto.I have quite a few parts off the 91 race car and some other performance stuff..turbo xs rfl ,etc.

I love the dsm cars they and the f body cars are my favorites. My main project last year or so has been my 99 Trans am ws6. That car has 408 or 6.7 litre fully built engine. Twin turbos with 1400 engine hp potential and 300 shot direct port nitrous at max jetting. I normally run the car at about 750 engine thats my minimum boost setting with no nitrous being used. Nitrous is set to 125 shot currently.
But have not used it yet,car is crazy scary fast now even on nitttos with no traction till middle of third gear.

Turbo 4cylinders are fun and thought my 97 talon was wicked fast. But the torque of the big v8 has to be experienced to be believed. And it spoolsl up at like 2000 full in by 3000.

I am also looking for some parts for my dsms. You can let me know what you have.
email is best not on this forum that much. [email protected]

welcome bod to your dsm slice of heaven LOL.... whats wrong with your car already?

from another thread :
Here's the factory test proceedure for the 99 that should also work for you. Note all voltage measurements are to ground.
- Disconnect CAS connector.
- Measure the voltage on harness side CAS pin 3 (red wire) with key on - should be +12V.
- Then make sure you have continuity (0 ohms) on harness side CAS pin 1 (black) to ground.
- Then measure the voltage on harness side CAS pin 2 (blue/red) with key on - should be 4.8-5.2V.
- Reconnect CAS connector.
- Measure voltage on CAS pin 2 (blue/red) while cranking engine - should be 0.4-3.0V [engine idling should be 0.5-2.0]. If you have 0V your CAS is dead since you should read something (even though they are pulses the voltmeter will read the average which will be more than 0). Note: To get at the wire inside you can stick a safety pin through the insulation and connect voltmeter lead to it.

Here is pic of the 95-96 CAS location: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/atta...3&d=1131787540

Oh and before you jump off that cliff, here is some timing belt tensioning tips that make it easier: Timing belt tensioning tips (for 4g63 turbo)

well it looks like a faulty injector. anyone got 510 injectors kicking around

hahaha no I dont know him, sounds like there are a lot of guys around trying to say their N/T's are turbo'd cars haha
