Looking for Machine work for my block!

Looking to get some machine work done. I have a spun main bearing and want to send the block in maybe put a little extra work into it.... Any suggestions? And can you vouch for who you recommend?

Ok, so there is this little shop in Norwalk Iowa that did all the machine work on my block and head. The name is Harvey's and he did a great job and wasn't that expensive. If I remember right he did the honing of the cylinder walls, machined the block, micro polished my crank and rods, balanced my pistons, rods, and crank, machined the valve seats, did a full valve
Guide job and installed all my valves. The block and head came back to me and they looked like new because he put them through two different heat baths. All that was $665 and it took them about a week. When I went in to talk with him about what I wanted done he even had a shelf in his shop with 2 4g63 blocks and 4 heads he was working on for other people and he seemed like he knew what he was talking about

I am also wanting to hear about personal experiences with these retailers to see how they are with customers

From past experience I would take your stuff to get machined from a place that has experience in dsm type engines. I had a horrible encounter this past summer with getting my stuff machined. I'm getting ready to start a build tread that will go over the trouble I had with a local shop.
