looking for low profile tires 225/?/16

im new to this and am trying to get some smaller tires for my Plymouth laser rs awd 5 lug

205/55 16 is stock. 225/50 would be the same height. 225/45 would be the next size shorter. These cars have pretty big wheel wells and look pretty silly with undersized tires, not to mention you're reducing contact patch, throwing off your speedo and making already short gearing even shorter.

the ones on my car now are 225/60/16 so if i got smaller tires i would need to set the spedo to? thanks

You cannot "set the speedo".

Your current tires are bigger than stock so you speedo is off by a certain percentage. Your actually going fast that it reads.
