just use a test light in your fuse box. (under dash) There are a few extras. Just tap the wire into 1 of those and plug a fuse in over it. :thumb:

been there sone that , thats why im asking

every alarm i've ever installed (even the cheapo ones) have an output on the brain specifically for the blinking LED.

What kind of alarm is it?

you need a hyper led... they blink all by themselves, you don't need an alarma output theat turns on and off to get it to blink.

12+ and ground to get it to flash, then the third wire would go to key sense or acc so that when the key is in/on it doesn't blink.

thats the best you can do on the factory alarm...

unless you find the "starter kill" relay and use it to trigger the light from the - side and then 12+ and acc.

I have a blinking LED. All i need is to find a wire that goes hot when i turn the car off and arm the alarm. I have tried all the alarm leads without luck and also all the fuses .

can you explain more on this. I have a blinking LED only postive and negative terminals

Use a bosch relay attached to the switched ignition. Wire it so that when it's hot the circuit is open, then when it goes to ground the circuit will close and give you the 12v you need. The positions on the relay will show you what side of the coil to charge. Good Luck.

umm no...

you need one that goes to ground when you activate the alarm... you won't find a hot wire that does that on the alarm, starter kills generally use negative triggers (open when not armed, ground when armed),
You will be "switching" it off and on by connecting and disconnecting ground...

Sorry but its raining and I left my multimeter on the other day so its out of juice or I'd go look for you.

MY "blinky" leds have 12+ and ground and blink, with a 3rd wire that serves as a "shut off"

you need 12+ constant and a wire that goes to ground only when the alarm is armed.
Set the multi meter to continuity, arm the alarm, and check for a wire that is continuous to ground AFTER the green security light is off. when you find one, disarm and it should no longer be ground. Then hook the black wire on the led to it and the red to 12+ constant.

i dont have a multimeter. If you could find that it would be cool or if i have a chance tomorrow to get one i will. I guess i need one anyway for when stuff liek this comes up

recommend you spend the 189 -29 dollars for a digital one.
you are going to use it all the time once you have it for every little thing. in the car and in the house!
