I am in the market for some sort of engine management system. I was looking at an AEM EMS but they look kinda spendy. A fellow tuner told me about dsmlink along with another that I forgot. He said that since my car was 95 I had some sort of special/different ECU compared to the other year dsm's out there. Is there a certain engine management system that goes along better with this ECU compared to other management systems? Also what other engine management systems are out there besides AEM EMS and DSMLink?

DSMLink is probably your best bet as far as an inexpensive tuning/management system.

AEM EMS and the Haltech E6K are the two major players in the DSM world as far as standalone engine management. Standalone, meaning, it completely replaces your stock ECU. This is the optimal setup, but requires a LOT of tuning and tweaking, and is very expensive.

DSMLink is around $620-$650, and allows you almost all of the functionality that a standalone would, however, with much less of a learning curve, installation headaches, initial startup tuning, etc.

I believe most (if not, all) 95's had EPROM ECU's, which are a requirement for the DSMLink to interface with the ECU.
