So here's some history, my spyder has had a T28 since i bought the car over 2 years ago. After the old 7 bolt spun bearings and I bought a 6 bolt, I had Justin rebuild the turbo, was needed, and it performed as great as he has advertised. Since then, I've been reeducating my girlfriend on how to drive manual and such and it has taken a toll on the turbo to where it needs another rebuild.
So that being said, how likely is it that the turbo will hurt my engine? I know it needs repair, but I'm just buying a new turbo when I've saved enough up for it. But until then, what can I expect aside from reduced power? I'm just looking for people's experiences with this subject, not I should buy this or that, just experiences and maybe ways to prolong the turbo from failing or destroying the engine.
