looking for 13g turbos...

not quite sure where i should post this, but, i'm looking to upgrade my turbo's on the vr-4. a friend of mine can modify the 13g's to bolt right up to my car. however, i have no idea where to find them. any help would be great

make sure you know which size lip you need on the 13g. There are two different ones. and if you choose the wrong one it probably wont work. I know this cause i did it to my brothers stealth. Just thought you should know. Also those 13g's from slowboy are 13g's designed by mitsu for the 3000gt thats why they are that price.

why dont you get a pair of TD05H 14B's off a 1G Turbo 5-Spd. THey flow MUCH more than a 13G and can easily pick up two on ebay or from here for $100-$150 each.

i'm in no rush to buy turbo's any time soon. i'm tight on money right now (no job at the moment and i'm living off the last bit of money i made over the summer... ) so... we'll see. and the 13g's are cheap, and a friend of mine can modify them to fit (at least the front turbo, he gave instructions how to get the rear turbo to fit). i eventually want to get 19t's, but, they're still working on making it fit my car... so... in the meatime, these are a cheap, pretty good upgrade. gives it a little more kick in the arse haha

awdrst - yea, 91-first part of 93 has the smaller lip i believe. 93-94 had the larger lip. i need the one with the smaller lip.

Becuase then you have to make or buy custom manifolds and they are cheap.

14B's, 16G's, 18G's, 20G's with adapter plates make it tough for the oil to return to the pan on gravity alone. Just letting you guys know.

expensive is not quite what i want right now the 13g's seem to be very cheap (installed, it will cost me a total of around 250-300, including the price of the turbo's and necessary modifications) and will give me a good enough power increase to keep me happy until i can scrape the money together to go a little crazy

anyway, i actually have the car up for sale, and if i can get my asking price, then i'll probably just buy a pos for the winter, and buy a cheaper/older 3000gt/stealth with lower miles and put the turbo's on that car. i dunno... still trying to figure it out

hey dont the 93 and older have head gasket problems or something??? i remember reading something like that. that it would be better to buy a 94 and later for some reason.....

they don't have head gasket problems, as least not as far as i know. the first half of 93 and older have aluminum transfer cases and are 18 spline. the second half of 93 through 99 have cast iron transfercases and are 25 spline and are less prone to cracking/breaking, etc.

Ive got one from my old talon that someone had thrown a 13g on just to get it running. It has 2 o2 housing bolts broken off in it. Ran ok in my talon... I say ok cause well... its a 13g heh. But yeah other then the bolts its all good.
