i'm lookin to buy a used 14b and replace to ol' t-2 slow.

i know fore sure i need to get the j-pipe to make this work on a 2g but is there anything else i will need? Is there a v-faq on this?

There is a nice article on Vfaq here which is for a 16g but the same ideas will apply. http://www.vfaq.com/mods/2G-16G.html I just read this last night and think it was written great. Also, there is another install right here specifically for the 14b on our forums in the Tech Article section. I haven't done this swap yet, but am looking into it.

p.s. - I just got in contact with my local junkyard and they quoted a 14b for $300 :barf: yeah right what a ripoff.

$300?
Ask him did it come with the head/bothmanifolds/turbo and a washer/dryer combo set.

Check our classifides.
You can scoop em up all the time there for less than $150.

thx for the info..ya i've seen several for sale on here for around 100.

i was just wondering if my set up will work without anything else..i have hard IC pipes, this wont cause any problems will it?

also will i need a new oil line?

Did you read the vfaq at all?

14b-16g LOWER INTERCOOLER PIPE

You can use that pipe or just get a JPIPE and according to cucumbers writeup in the tech section swap the ends of your lower ic pipe around.

Get a new SS oil feed line if your going to be doing it personally if your wanting to do it.
The return line on the turbo is discussed in the vfaq posted.
Go and read up on it.

ya i read the vfaq..looks like its gonna cost me several hundred to do it (i need a new o2 sensor and i think i'm gonna go ahead n get a tubular o2 housing while i'm at it)

but thx for the help i'm lookin forward to the project. :thumb:

ight guys this is how easy it is i got my 14g for free at a junkyard just make a friend :thumb: k so i got it and the oil return line the the colent lines on it i also jsut got the j pipe i put it on today and spend i think hmmmm 75cent for some hose 2.00 for little clamps so what is that 2.75 hmm sounds good i use the same stock lower incooler pipe jsut turned it around it was perty easy and cant wait to get my head on so i can go run it

i have no pic sorry but it looks all good the only thing i can see is a few little bents liek not bad jsut not as strait as they usta be but it will find a way to get air

Dosen't matter if its hard or not.
You simply flip it around and put the end that was going to the intercooler onto the turbo and so-fourth. Just put it on backwards.
i dont know if a hard pipe will work it has to be kinda flexable u could try thow
