I was just looking through ebay and found a whole kit for datalogging on a DSM, including the cable and palmpilot:

Its would be cheaper to just buy the palm pilot, the y can ber had for like 20 bucks. The software is free, and to log a 1g car you can make the adapter for less that $2.00

is it that easy to make the cable? I have the software and palm OS emulator on a laptop... I really just need the cable to go from my DB9 port to the ALDL plug on my car.... I just thought it was cool because everything came in one package...

Thats not a bad price considering what they where charging. What I did was bought a palm color for like $40 on ebay. Then payed $20 for a cable that came with software. I didnt want to deal with making one so it wasnt that bad of a price.

The palm they offer is like worth $10 at most.

true... Im lazy and I suck at soldering... haha... I want to just buy a cable for right now... Im going to buy DSMlink next year and in the mean time im just going to tune with a used SAFC...

You can buy an interface from http://www.multiplex-engineering.com/ and you just need the palm . OBD gauge is the program I use on my 2g its freeware.
