so id like to start another long rod discussion. everyone says that a higher rod ratio helps side pressure and increases the ability for high revs. are there any cons to the system?

it decreases the wear on the bearings and rods are also less on a long rod setup, so are there any problems with goin with a very high rod ratio? everyone aims for like 1.75ish but are there any issues with a really high ratio?

I searched as well and found a few things talking about the differences, but I want to know if theres anything wrong with have a very high rod ratio

well I doubt that it has ever been covered. Ive searched everywhere, there arent even any discussions on honda forums. there are a couple things on the big block forums, but I dont know how much of that info applies to 4 cylinders
