Ok so i have a motor that i was gonna do 2.3l stroker but now have decided a 2.0 is better for my needs i had only got the pistons and block machined so no hige loss i was reading u can do a longrod stroker which is just a 2.0l i was thinking this is cheaper than starting fresh being pistons are not cheap so i set out to find some rods i cant find any 156mm rods for a 6 bolt

So here is my question does anyone know where i can find some of these 156mm rods in 6 bolt please help or make suggestions any help is good

I know off the top of my head Manley, RnR, and Oliver have and make them.

Are you looking for budget $300 rods?

If the pistons have already been fitted you're still going to go back to the machne shop.

All i had done was the block decked bored to match pistons

And yes if possible i dont want to spend a ton on rods i was hoping something like scat or eagle prices but forged and proven

If you were using a 7-bolt then you could use a cheap set of 156mm Manley H-beam rods but since you're running a 6-bolt, you're a little more limited on options. Manley only builds an off-the-shelf 156mm I-beam rod for a 6-bolt and they're nearly twice as expensive as the H-beams. Any company will build you a set of 156mm rods but you're going to pay a bunch. A new set of $450-$500 2.0L pistons will be cheaper in the end unless you have to get the block re-machined, then the $650-$700 the 156mm rods will cost you may just even out. You could always find a decent used set of forged pistons on any of the forums for cheap. Here are a few available on classifieds here:

I seen too i need 21mm wrist pin can u have pistons machined i dont see why not but figured i could ask and if i did where could i get just wrist pins

R&R makes a nice 6 bolt rod 156mm that would mate up nice with those stroker pistons. I run aluminum but you can run either steel or aluminum.

Well if they don't have the size wrist pin you want id sell them and get wiseco HD or whatever you decide.
Basically I wouldn't cut any corners in the rotating assembley.

Yeah thats ###### gonna be what happens if someone knows where i can get 156 rods 21mm pin and 6 bolt please tell me

We told you. You just don't like the price. RnR, Oliver, Pauter, Manley... You need to pay to play. MAP has some Howard aluminum rod for $500+ right now also. What more do you want?

You need to call them all up and tell them exactly what you want and they will make them custom.

If you are using the same 2.3 stroker pistons and decide to do the 2.0 long rod you will lose around a full point of compression.

Because you are putting a piston in an engine that was designed for a 100mm stroke on a 88mm stroke crankshaft.

Yes but the piston is made for 100mm because of the 6mm differance on the piston which im now adding to the rod making it the same stroke as a standard 2.0 again

You are not changing the stroke in a long rod configuration. The only way you can change the stroke is with the crankshaft.
