Logger wont log....why?

ok i have all my logging stuff and i had it all hooked up the right way and it still didnt work. im not sure what is wrong. the cable i bought has 2 wires a blue one and a whit one. the white one is spliced with another white one making 2. for anyone that knows i have the blue one plugged into pin 1 and the other white ones plugged into 10-12 pin. the palm i have is a m505. it hotsync's to my laptop just fine but i cant get the thing to log. do i need one of the logger cables with 3 wires? the auto-on ones. anything will be of some help.

Fill out your profile... I don't know what your trying to log. It could be a 1930 Ford Model A for all we know, and I personally don't know how to hook up a logger to one of those. I know for a Pocketlogger on a 2g, if I don't have the software registered on my palm and I have everything hooked up properly it will not work. If that is the type of logger your using (or even if it isn't) make sure it is registered properly to the correct name. I'm not sure what your talking about, as far as the cables go though, which leads me to believe your working with a 1g. Hope that helps a little. well thanks for the reply....to bad it to my second post to get anything out of this site. yes i have a 1g. i am using MMCd to log my 91 TSi AWD. i was under the impression that since its freeware there is no registration code. if im wrong then someone correct me. its really bugging me. i have tried alot of different things to get it to work. my next step is to just buy a cable that has the auto on feature unless someone can tell me a different way to fix it.

Are all of your settings on your software reset to the default settings? Also, I read that your com must be set to 1920-1953 or it won't work properly. Is it able to use any of the features? Is it only unable to log? Hopefully someone that is experienced with the software can offer some more advice.

your second post is grounds for probably ban, watch the language, and saying "stupid *** site" is not going to get you any answers you need., this site has good guys and it has its badguys, but anytime i had a problem that i needed a second opinion about, someone was always here give me something advice

as far as im aware i do not have the option of changing any default settings in MMCd. the palm works fine doing everything else. all my apps. work fine and it hotsyncs fine. it just wont connect to my car. and as for my com being set to 1920-1953.....i have no idea what your talking about. is that the speed of my connection?
