Lobbing Exhaust

So my friend has a evo and his exhaust literally Lobs and i was just curious if i could get that note out of my exhaust. Iv got hks 272 cams, stock manifold 20g turbo 3" catback tanabe exhaust.

He says its just because its an evo. But i kind of think its cause my cars un-tuned.

I got a new o-ring on my bis screw, their is more lobe noticable but i also noticed i have a leak, or hissing from the intake manifold or a vaccum leak.

Try doing a boost leak test and you should be able to hear all of that. I found plenty when I just finished putting my car back together, and the idle changed a lot.

Im getting a new intercooler this week so when it comes im going to do a boost leak on it. Just to make sure their isnt one, cause i know iv got boost leaks, i have to.

Not c clamps running 15lbs of boost cause if i turn it off the pipeing blows off

its ok though the one i got has c clamps

Was the car warmed up when you took that video? It sounds to me as if the idle is a little bit high. Also there is no sign of any type of lope coming from the exhaust. And yes it definitely sounds like there is a leak coming from near the intake manifold.

So the guy i bought my car off of (one of my good friends) said he called ams which his car was tuned by.
And they said that he HAD hks 272's in the engine.
I also called, they brought the file up and it indeed said that does have them.

Is their any settings or something i could mess with?
Also, i noticed if i unpluged my maf, my car doesnt act any diffrent then it would if it was pluged in.

My car has loped before i recorded it on my phone, but its only a recording not a video, i could post that on here if it would help. You can tell it has cams from the voice recording but i just dont remember what i did to change it. Lol

And indeed i found that my gaskets around my TB are leaking, so i have to get some new ones in two weeks when i get paid. Also thinking about just taking the valve cover off and looking if it has HKS engraved in the middle of each camshaft.

What do the stock cams look like? Does anyone have a picture of them so i could look.

Only question i have now is their anyway to test if your maf is working properly, the only thing diffrent when i unplug it is that the car revs a little higher. Is that normaly what happens?

Ya its possible that it would change the idle of the car. Your best bet by checking if the maf is bad is by getting one from either a friend or someone that you know for a few minutes. Theres only other way would be to check the resistance.

Is it possible to "tune" out a lobe from the ecu?
