2.5in exhaust- 3in exhaust

ok so awhile back i got a local shop to make me a catback exhaust but the biggest piping they could bend was 2.5 in, but since he gave such good deals i did it anyways. the question i have is i didnt notice much of a difference in power with the 2.5 in exhaust and i recently found a shop that can do full 3in piping so if i were to upgrade would i notice a difference in power? i already have a DP

In my opinion I honestly don't think you will notice a difference in 3 inch catback or 2.5 catback. It's the downpipe that will make the night/day difference on the car.

hmm well maybe my downpipe sux then. i have a 2.5 in downpipe from punishmentracing.com. it bolts up to the stock cat and i noticed a little bit of a difference but i heard i should notice a HUGE difference like 10hp or more. did i just get a crappy DP? or do i just need a high-flow cat?

does your cat back have severe bends in it? if it was pressbent and has severe bends that might be the problem...

nah only 2 bends and theyre pretty smooth. I'm just kind of disappointed bc basically the only change i noticed was the sound. i also have all resonators off and the muffler cut off with just a tip connected to straight piping. I talked to the guy at the shop about cutting the muffler off and the noise situation but he said the turbo will always quiet it down. he was right its still fairly quiet but i would think with all of those restrictions removed i would notice more power

really doesnt apply but im getting the joe p package with dump tube and 2.5 pressbent dp. then im going to purchase a 3" catback from somewhere. i just think that if im dumping then theres really no need for a 3" dp. so umm get an o2 dump
