lets see those cam gears and belt

I want to see some pictures of your cam gears and timing belt combos.

My car is red and my valve cover and other things are red in my engine bay.

I am leaning on getting red cam gears (AEM, BC, or fidanza)

I wanted to get the stronger gates belt but I don't know how blue would look with all the red.

This thread title reminded me of a friend who runs with no top belt cover on his Eclipse. He recently found a rock wedged half way through the timing belt cords that was slowly working its way out through the material. The rock was also doing a nice job of chewing up all of his gears and idlers. Luckily he found it and dug it out before it caused a belt failure and head damage. He will still need a new timing belt (and I'll bet he installs a top cover too).

Not trying to sound like a jerk but there are hundreds of pictures in the gallery of exactly what your looking for, thats why they are there for you to look at.

yeah I went to the gallery index and spend like 25 minutes looking for them, I guess i picked the wrong pages.

anyways I did search when I typed in "lets see those cam gears and belt" the 5 or so options had nothing to do with it.

I believe Tomei made a red Kevlar timing belt for a 4G63, but they're quite rare and sell for $200+.

Worth it. The red timing belt isn't Tomei, its Toda rather, and they don't advertise it as a timing belt for the Mitsubishi Eclipse but for the more popular Evo VIII 4G63 since its "JDM". The Evo VIII and DSM's share the same timing belt part number (MD326059) so technically speaking it should work just fine, I'd trust it if I had $200 to drop on a timing belt and I wanted my engine bay to match my car.

That is bad ass!! I would not spend the money on one. But if I did I would cause I have never seen that on a DSM.
