legality of a roll cage in a street car?

You need to check your local laws here in Louisiana the law says you cannot use any parts that the car didnt come the from the factory IE: technically just changing the brand of tires is illegal!! Or even an afermarket part stock part!! And where I live there is a major problem with street racing so a roll cage is an automatic pull over and if your in a known area for street racing will win a ticket here if you a bystandard or a driver its the exact same ticket.

Are you doing this yourself? I want to put in a cage for my dsm but I dont know of any good shops around the virginia area for this, except for piper motorsports which is insanely expensive.
