LED Tails

After seeing soem cars today drivigna roudn with led tail lights
ive decided to turn mine into LEDS

has anyone ever done this?

if so could u post some pics?

I have been thinking about this too. Hotrodders are even doing it!
APC sells like a LED bulb to directly replace the old bulb. But the problem I see is that the LED's would require less power to light up. And there is a set amount of power that the car gives the turn signals and brake lights. And LED's use less power. Therefore the turnsignals would blink faster.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

no you are correct. there is a place online called autolumination.com that sells some resistors that should fix that problem. be careful where you place these due to them getting hot.

but im not talkin about just the APC bulb..

but i was thinkin about doin them in a different arrangement..

i believe they already mak the LED side makers for the 2g eclipse/talon....but that's about it as far as i know

You'll have to get the led panels, diassemble the lights, clear silicone them in place and put the lights back together.

I'm not sure how bright the 4,000mcd LED is going to be, especially for a tail light. You might want to look into something brighter, at least 6,000mcd or even a 10,000mcd

I just got the LED buld replacement for m y car and I love them.I am not too sure about installing a entire doard of the in etch light. Seem slike a bit much for me

get the altezza tails so that the cover piece is smooth and clear and not red and disorted. if you do it right it should like like the new caddys. keep us updated

Where do you order your LED's from? I saw some 3k mcd LED's for about $5 a pop at Radio Shack (thats alot). Do you get your's cheaper?
