Leaving ECU in Dianostics mode

Leaving my Logger always plugged in with always leave ecu in dianostics mode with the two connecters grounded? Does this affect anything? EX: sensors, ecu response. I'm not always pulling a log but never unhook the cable, I tried to search but I don't think I worded my criteria correct.

i think it just affects the abs system if you have it.it just leaves the abs in diag mode all the time.my cable has been plugged in for a year or so now with zero problems with it.
