leaking transmission fluid but from where ?

ok at the moment i got under the car and i see trans fluid leaking down from the back side. i have no idea where its coming from. i checked both axles there in both my drain plug and fill plug is on tight i changed the fluid a week or so ago and my friend helped me and he filled it to the very top. could that be the cause ? if so where could it be coming from ?

How did he fill it to the very top when the fill plug is on the side of the tranny? You should only fill up to the fill plug and you see the fluid start to flow back out.

If you're getting a leak from the back of the trans check the vent. It's way in the back, up on top, close to the speedo cable. It's a bulbous looking rubber cap. If you are overfilled that's where it'll come from.
