I just bought a '92 eclipse, FWD, turbo, 2.0l, and I'm having some problems. First off, it wouldnt start. replaced the spark plugs, started up but wouldnt idle. I bought a new battery for it, and it'll start up fine but just slow down and quit. If you hit the gas, it'll rev up a lot higher than expected, then when you let go, it'll quit again. I checked the BISS screw, adjusted that a few times, wont idle. Now, when i try to start it up, get it going for a second, and then it quits, theres a leaking sound inside of the car.. kind of like the sound of a faucet running slowly, but nothing comes out, nothing hits the ground. I'm thinking the gas tank, but what in the world would be doing that? and are the problems related?

and the clutch is soft, i've already bled it and theres no air in the lines, and i havent been able to drive it to see if it gets into gear.

But what about the fluid sound? is that just a problem with the fuel pressure regulator or maybe the fuel pump?

The running fluid in your dash is probably an air pocket in your heater core. check and make sure your coolant is full. Low coolant can also cause all sorts of poor running problems.
