Leaking coolant from drain plug

I seem to have a slight drip coming from the drain plug on the radiator.. it literally just started happening after i loosened it up to drain out the coolant to add some new coolant to get ready for winter and tightened it up and its leaking from it.. What would cause this??? Any help is appreciated.. thanks alot.

Gasket my have dried up or broke. You could try running a household vacuum hose on the fill so you can remove the drain plug to inspect it.

I got totally lost after you said use a vacuum ...

Just tighten it a little tighter. I always used a pair of pliers to tighten mine, I was just careful not to break the damn thing.

I actually used pliers and tightened it so damn hard that i thought i was going to break it and it still leaked.. -_-

I think there is an O-ring on the drain plug, you might want to replace that.

Or just silicone or nylon tape the threads....
I also have a spare.

Well, i just drained all the coolant and oil, time for new fluids going to check out the oring... thanks for the help man

Definitely use thread tape
Problem=fixed

Thanks, i am going to try the tape on the threads, but the leak is coming out of the drain hose to be exact... when you loosen it up and it drains from the hose..

You use a vacumm so that you can remove the coolant plug without having to drain the fluid.
