When I took the drain plug out of my trans(5 speed), some of the threads came out with it. It still has enough to tighten down well and everything, but it leaks pretty good. Im trying to figure out a good way to fix this besides just siliconing it in there. I was thinking about just adding a crush washer or an o ring under the head of the bolt. Any thoughts?

Well, it turns out it was my axle seals. I cant figure out if I ruined them taking the axles out or if the axles arent in all of the way. Should there be any of the seal showing? I can see a little of the orange seal in the gap, but the gap is fairly small. Is the axle supposed to be completely touching the trans? I cant get the axle to go in any farther so i dont know what else to do.

Take the ball joint loose and use the spindle as a battering ram to beat the axle in. It should be seated all the way to the transmission.

Okay, so there should be absolutely no part of the seal visible correct?
