Just installed engine and trans. Seals were in pretty good shape looked as if they had been replaced recently and did not leak previously.

Currently I have the car up on stands and the transfer case is not installed. Doing my leak checks. Driver side axle seal leaks. Does the transfer case push down around this to help seal it in anyway? Or do I probably just need another seal? Shoudl I replace inner and outer seals?

Is this the seal?

pushes man. thats y its bolted up. the shaft should have a expansion clip ring on the end of it to keep it locked in place as well.

You lost me... What pushes? Clip ring on the shaft? Could you go a little more into detail?

I have the exploded diagram It just shows the two seals pressed in. I don't see any clip rings?

i thought your talking about your cv shaft seal leaking

Are you talking about the output shaft by any chance? Your axle seals and transfer case don't really have anything to do with one another. If your axle seals are leaking it's because they are either bad, or the axle isn't pushed in all the way. Now if your output shaft is leaking, it might be because the seal is bad on the out put shaft OR some one took apart the trans at some point and forgot to put the little ball back that holds the output shaft in. I know this from first hand experience, I installed a welded center diff and VCE and i forgot the little ball bearing and my out put shaft was sliding and leaking all over the place.

A picture of the actual leak might be more helpful than the picture of a seal.
